COURSE DESCRIPTION – 6-Month Intensive Spanish Course, Year-Round
The 6-Month Intensive Spanish Language Course at the Salminter Spanish School consists of 4 class-hours per day of Spanish classes. Participants in the 6-Month Intensive Spanish Course will complete a total of approximately 480 class hours of Spanish. U.S. students will cover the Spanish subjects typically found in Spanish 101, Spanish 102, Spanish 201, and Spanish 202 classes, with the added benefit of hearing and speaking Spanish on a daily basis during their stay in Spain, meaning you will also develop your Spanish speaking skills as if you had taken Spanish Conversation courses. Participants with a beginner knowledge of Spanish can expect to attain an upper intermediate to advanced level of Spanish, while participants with an intermediate level of Spanish can expect to attain a lower-advanced or advanced level of Spanish.
Students in the 6-Month Intensive Spanish Course will cover all aspects of the Spanish language, including Spanish conversation, Spanish written expression, and Spanish listening and reading comprehension. During the course students will also be exposed to a variety of topics covering Spanish society and culture, which will enable them to deepen their understanding of Spain, its culture, society, and people.
Students will have 20 class-hours of Spanish per week and will complete 80 class-hours of Spanish per month. Classes meet mornings, Monday through Friday.
Students take an online placement test to make an initial classification of their level of Spanish (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, oral expression and interaction) in order to place them in the Spanish course that corresponds to their level of Spanish (A1 (Beginner), A2 (Pre-Intermediate), B1 (Intermediate), B2 (Advanced), C1 (Advanced High.))
Certificates of Attendance are available to those students that would like to have one. The Certificate of Attendance specifies that number of hours of Spanish class the student has taken as well as the grade obtained.
